Default Job Titles

Does anyone know how strictly the job title has to compare to the listed name on SOL? Having looked at the job description for 3292-11, this is my role but my title differs? Thanks for any help.

I doesn't matter. You can be assessed for that occupation on the SOL. Make
sure that you CV addresses the expected activities for the occupation on the
SOL. You can get those from the ASCO manual.

Default Thanks

Thank you for the reply.

For evidence of work experience, would the letter from my employer have to avoid stating the job title. Do they expect a list of activities from the manager? Best regards

Hi!

Somewhere in the pile of paper that I downloaded and printed from
www.immi.gov.au it described what a letter of reference should look like
and should contain. From memory:

- be printed on original company letterhead
- list your job title, your salary, the duration of employment and that you
were a fulltime employee
- list at least 5 duties of your job in that position
- list a contact phone number or email address for verification
- be signed by the person issueing the letter
- show that person's name in printed letters
- show the issuer's job title.

In my letters I've also had them list my supervisor and their job title.

That's for letters issued in the US. My older ones from Germany also will
include my evaluation by superiors, how I did in my job and what my
qualifications were.

Cheers
Mike

Mike,

Well done!

It's found on page 34 of the latest (July 2003) Skilled Migration Booklet. It was on page 37 of the older (March 2003) version.

Peter

sleeping with it.
