Basic Requirements Work Experience

I wonder if anybody could help me, we are loking into either AUS or NZ but my wife who is a midwife has only worked 2 months in the last 18 months and is no longer working as a midwife.

Does anybody know how many hours per week she will need to work as a midwife to meet the basic requirements so that her profession can be assessed for migration.

Cheers

Paul

I think (but I am certainly no expert) it has to be 20 hours per week.

For Australia:

She can get a skill assessment from ANMC immediately, but to meet DIMIA requirements she needs to be working for 20 hours per week.

Most general skilled visas require 12 months work experience in the last 18 months, however the Skill Matching visa only needs 6 months. For that, she needs sponsorship from a participating state (SA, WA, Tas or Victoria).
