Which bank?
I have a steady income as a part-time multimedia programmer for about a year
now (~>$18K PA). I am wondering which banks in Perth are easier to apply for
credit cards?
My application was rejected by Commbank (oooo Which bank!? - my only banking
institution of nearly 5 years) on the basis that I am not a PR (I'm an overseas
student).. is that even a valid reason?
Thinking of changing banks anyway since the $5/month introduction on Commbank
accounts.
I need a credit card as an emergency backup, amongst other reasons as I plan to do
some travelling end of this year.

Re: Which bank?
I believe that as "student" you can apply for many banks and they don't charge you account keeping fees.
Banking in Australia is really horrible...horrible...
I think Westpac is the only one that does not charge you service fees for amounts of A$2000 that you have with them.
Any such banks??

If you still have an address back home this may be a runner.
