Re: Awaiting sponsorship number
I am also a nurse heading to the sunshine coast. I have been sponsered by employer and have been waiting for sponsership number since june!!!!!!
I hope to get it this week coming as I have sold house etc....
I have been told that generally it only normally takes 2-3 weeks but there is a delay with processing at the Brisbane office. So in answer to your question I don't know. You can't apply for your visa until you have the number.
Good luck will let you know if I hear anything further.

Re: Awaiting sponsorship number
yes I got that a while ago, took about 3 months but there was a delay with Xmas etc.. Not sure what the time frame is now I got mine early Feb' as originally was going to go for skilled indep' but will do that once there.
Best to just keep on their case once you have applied.
I have actually sold my house and move out in 2 weeks so will be going into temorary accomodation meantime.
Feel free to e mail me if you need any further info.
Will keep you posted.
Bye for now

Hello May
Well no news yet, however another question. We had our medicals done a few week ago and how do you know if they have arrived in sydney. Also is there any way you can chase your qnc registration and ask how long it will be.
Speak soon

Any particular reason why you are not looking for a permanent visa? (457 is only temporary).
