Authenticating documents

I'm applying for a defacto spouse visa and have my whole application ready now. Except I have a stack of documents that need witnessing.

I know someone who is a JP who has witnessed a couple of my documents, but I don't think he wants to witness and sign everything I have - it would take him forever.

I'm based in the city in Sydney. Does anyone know where I would go to get all of these authenticated in one sitting. Preferably someone/somewhere that is used to do doing these. And does it cost?

Also - when I submit my folder with my application, supporting documents, evidence etc. Do I get that folder of info back? Or do immigration keep it after a decision has been made?

Many thanks
Maccy

Not sure where to get them done in Sydney but DIMIA will keep everything - you dont get anything back from them.
