Arrow Australian Police Check processing times

Form 1101 (Australian Police Records Check) states (on page 3) that the processing time is 30 days.

For those of you who have experience in getting one, could you please post a reply stating how long yours took? Thanks!

Red face Re: Australian Police Check processing times

Please, could someone help out on this one? My partner and I have an interview with DIMIA in mid-January and we may have to postpone it if we haven't received back the Australian Police Check. Postponing it would mean wasted flights and accommodation, so it's a big worry!

If DIMIA keep their word, they should have it finished by Christmas, but because it's Christmas, I'm worried that there may be extra delays in the processing, not to mention the post. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
i applied for my oZ police checks back in july and it took about 2 weeks in all to get them back(that includes the posting time both ways as well) so it was a very fast, efficient service.
cheers

Mine took months. Sorry. However, so did a lot of peoples between about Jan-May this year. The DIMIA were aware of this problem and gave extensions where need be. I think 'generally' they do keep to their guidelines though. Often CO's will allow for something like a police check to be added at a later stage, just check with your CO well in advance to see if this can be done.

Cheers

Mine didn't take very long at all - less than 4 weeks I think. However, I had to get it reissued cos there was a discrepancy between my date of birth - written in 2 places on the form but incorrect for one of them. They were really helpful when I called them about it though.
