Hi,
While searching for jobs in Australia / NZ market, I've seen advertisements of certain jobs which are based in NZ and in the requirement column they ask for people who have work permit of either Australia or NZ.
I was wondering if its possible to work in NZ based on your temp. work permit issued in Australia ?

Not on a temporary visa.
If you have a permanent visa then normally yes (only Australian PR in NZ, not the other way around), but this is dangerous as you may lose your status in Australia. Time in NZ does not count for Australian citizenship or RRV purposes.
It's not smart to "hop" between Australia and NZ without citizenship, many people who've tried this have been left without status in either country and have had to go home.

Just for info. Wages in NZ are MUCH less than they are in Oz as a general
rule. However, the NZ cost of living is quite high so that means that (again
as a general rule) the amount of disposable income is much less in NZ than
it is in Oz. Don't make the move for financial reasons unless you can secure
a job that pays well above the NZ average. Along with Oz, NZ is a beautiful
country with a relaxed attitude, wide open spaces, big skies (when it isn't
raining) very low crime rate etc so by all means make the move for lifestyle
reasons.
