simple mate, online poster came to Australia on student visa, and while he was here he was eligible for 175 offshore skilled migrant visa. He might have got the eligibility criteria before the commencement of studies in Australia. The person concerned can confirm my understanding if i am correct or wrong .

when I applied at that time MODL was not revoked. I did my job for 2 years and then came here for masters. Your recent expirence shouldn't be older then 12 months. So I applied straight away after my resignation and arrival in Australia.

Another scenario could be coming in Australia on student visa, work part time along with studies (though it is difficult to get into a relavent job in such a scenario) and apply for subclass 175/176 when aplication criteria is met (it could meet as soon as after few days or as long as after many years).

Right, as long as you meet the threshold criteria, no matter what you are doing, you are eligible to apply for visa.

Hello August 2009 Applicants,

I request to all August 2009 applicants (especially Paki applicants) if u have any progress in ur case plz update here and if someone got their visa plz update on beupdate.co.uk as I have seen many Paki applicants who got their visas in the month of July and august but they are not updating their visa status on beupdate.co.uk , infact they are registered on this website.

Please comply.
