Default attaching documents to 457 app

Hi everyone,

HELP! hope some if you more technically minded can help us with this one!

We want to do our visa app on line as it is supposed to be quicker (allegedly!) but how do you attach documents to the application? Do you use a scanner? If you scan them in do you just attach them as documents like you would on an e-mail? Do they need to be verified?

sorry for all the questions but i have no idea how to do this and don't want to start the application and then not be able to attach the docs needed.

We don't have a scanner, do you know of anywhere that would do it for you?

Thanks

Sarah

Hi

I've recently done the online 457 and yes you can scan the documents and you get the option at the end of the application to attach them. It takes a while and some of them I had to resize so they would 'fit'. I'm not sure but I think you can do the application and then submit/attach your docs at a later date.

It needs to be a colour scanner and you dont have to get them certified which saves money too We dont have a scanner but a friend scanned them on his then saved them on disc for us to take home so I could do it!! Dont know if you would be able to do this at your local library or maybe buy a cheap scanner? (just make sure its a colour one)

Hope this helps a bit and good luck.

Hi,

we also did ours online and panic set in when it only accepted 15 documents and we had 32 to send, however this is apparently normal and when we got CO on day 18 they ask you to attach remaining docs to their email.

good luck to all 457ers in waiting.
