Assurance of support accepted

Hi all,
We are nearing the final stages now. We have today recieved a letter from Adelaide requesting that our assurer lodges the bond at the commonwealth bank and a health undertaking form to complete.
It seems that they have accepted our application and things are fast tracking now. Anyone interested in buying a house?
We are holding the champagne until visa's are firmly attached to our passports.
Good luck to you all, especially you Mash.
Regards,
Rick & Nicky

Good to know that things are moving for you. Bear in mind that as you've been requested to submit a health undertaking, your first-entry date would most likely be 6 months after your medical test date, not the usual 12.

Peter,

I was asked to give a health undertaking & given the date of 21st October
2003. My medical was carried out on 12th September 2002. Interesting that
some people are only given 6 months - do you know why? I wasn't told why I
have a health undertaking - apparently they are not allowed to tell you
until you arrive in the country. seems strange, especially as I am a nurse &
have a young family.

Actually, I have no idea why it's 6 months. It's just something that's been reported and confirmed to be true to be happening for some people who need a health undertaking.
