No need to inform DIMIA about finalizing AOS. Centrelink will do that.

For your satisfaction you may email CO informing him about it. But it is not mandatory.

Thx

Question Re: Assurance of Support

Hi !!
I have come to Australia on a sponsored category. I know that my UNCLE will get this money back after 2 years..What if I leave Australia and go back...and never return.

Will he get this Assurance money back or not?

Thanks,
Pravinder.

It is roughly 3-4 weeks to visa grand after the bond has been paid.

We are 139 applicants. We have a bit of a difficult case. i.e. my husband is still in the British Military and needs to give his discharge papers before visa grant. Our Agents are trying to get around this. Our bond was lodged in November and it is taking us longer to actually get our visa.

As far as I am aware, there is no actual timescale that Centrelink HAS to adhere to, I think it depends from state to state.

Centrelink are just getting their act together from all the changes in July, it took them a while to sort the process out. Things are getting a lot quicker no though.
