Default Assessment as Dental Therapist

Hi BE Mates,

A friend of mine is planning to apply for assessment as Dental Therapist. He has worked and studied overseas.

He was wondering if he just needs Vetassess immigration assessment or a full registration with Australian Dental Board to apply for immigration visa?

Please help!

Regards,
Fred, F.

To apply for a visa, a positive skills assesment will be required.

Registration with a professional body is sometimes required in order to work in Australia, but not typically part of the visa application process.

Thanks Bermudashorts,

I saw similar statement on the ADC page Australian Dental Council - Skills Assessments (third last heading).

Now I would ask my friend to concentrate on Vetassess front.

Thanks,
Fred, F.
