Arrive ahead of the family on PR visa
Hello all,
Hopefully not a stupid question here - but, I am in the UK, have a PR visa (spouse visa application). If I head over first off all before the rest of the family, to set things up like rental accommodation, job, location, is there any issue at border control with me arriving on my own with the intention of staying as a PR but before the others come out? My wife and kids have Aus passports. Is there any need for me to say that I am on a fact finding trip or is it ok to be upfront if I am asked? Thanks |

You have your own visa you can travel without them.

Thank you for this. I know that on the visa it reads that my wife is my 'sponsor' so I woke up in a hot sweat last night thinking perhaps arriving to set up home alone might be an issue.
