Thanks for all your kind words everyone - we are booking our flights early next week and hope to be leaving in 3-4 weeks time!!

Hi Tiger....Still in shock that we got our visas - drank nice Champagne last night to celebrate. Our family have some 'Time Shares' in Aussie, so going to stay near Brisbane for 3 weeks - and use this as a base to explore and sort out renting accommodation...hopefully can have somewhere for Christmas!!

It's a great feeling isn't it? I got mine over a week ago and I am still being annoyingly happy :p

Can't believe you're heading out in 3 weeks. We are going in 7 weeks and I am starting to realise how much I have to do in such a short time :eek:

VISA HAS BEEN GRATED:D

Our timeline was

04 February 2008 - Submitted ACS Application for Assessment
27 March - Received Positive Assessment from ACS 2231-11
10 April - Lodged GSM 175 on Shore Application with PCC's
11 September - Allocated Case Office
30 September - Family Medicals Completed
11 October - Visa Granted

Heading to NZ tomorrow to get the passports stamped

Hi,

I have been living and working in Australia for 8 years. It was only in the last 12 months that I decided to stay on!! My laywyer called me at the beach on Saturday and told me it had come through. Looking forward to a couple of days in NZ

hi all we not been on for a while just been trying to get on with life and not think about the visa but its not been easy :( well congratulations to you all that got visas:thumbsup: i cant see that day ever coming for us but fingers crossed it will start moving soon:D did any of you apply with a paper application ?
