well, put in the Form 47SK in on March 7th to Adelaide, got confirmation & file number on May 1st (non IT Independent Skilled jobbie !) and on the letter said "some applications can take as long as 50 weeks".
is there anyone else out there applying for PR whilst resident in Aus, if so is the 50 week timeframe even remotely realistic (cos if it takes 58 weeks, I turn 30 and lose the crucial 5 points i need) ?

Your age at application date is the age that counts - it doesn't matter that you change age categories after submission - you are fine
