Apply for new visa before current one expires
 
Hi all,

Is it acceptable to apply for a new tourist (class 600) visa if the existing one expires within the next 10 days? Or does the current have to expire and only then can we apply for a new visa?

A flight may become available just after the current visa expires so don't want to be in a position whereby I get a flight but then don't have the visa.

You can apply any time.

If you are traveling to Australia you will also need a travel exemption.
