Sorry there is a board for all applictions, its not decided only on Job but also on settlement factors.
You need to fill in a form as well as your CV.
Maybe you were lucky when your application was sent in and the board were sitting.

Maybe I was misinformed as my agent told me otherwise. He also predicted it wouldn't take more than a couple of weeks

hi - when you applied for STNI, what docs did you have to provide and in what form? also, did mrs fraser have to provide any documentation? cheers.

If you want Vic' to nominate you via STNI you firstly need an occupation on their 'skills in demand' list. IF you think you qualify or have already had your skills assessed you need to send them your TRA/Vetassess or what ever cert'. If you have not had your skills assessed get certified copies(Keep spares) of your trade certificates a CV and fill in the Victoria SMU application. You can either e-mail or fax the application and they will let you know - sometimes the same day if they will nominate you for STNI.
This is no guarantee that you will be given a visa by DIMIA though.
