Hi Anyone,
I am enquiry for a friend of mine. He have 8 years of IT working experience. But he
does not have any Degree or certifications. He is into Unix and Networking. Care to
comment on what are his chances if he apply for the Australian Immigration?
Also, care to give any advice to him, if let's say he does not qualify, what steps
should he take to make him qualify for Australia Immigration?

Hi John,
You need to be assessed by the Australian Computer Society first of all - they ensure
that you match one of the IT professions on the list for Australia.
Look at www.acs.org.au - they will take all experience into account, and may regard a
number of years of work experience equivalent to a degree, what they call Regognition
for Prior Learning - you essentailly need to prove that over the years you have
learnt as much as a graduate.
So all is not lost, many people got the RPL route.
Cheers Ryan

Hi Lim John
Not bad advice at all above, make sure your 'friend' has 4 years relevant experience or it could be money wasted.
