Anyone had a visit from the Oz High Commission?
Hi all,
A colleague of my oh is currently at the stage of meds and pc's for his visa. He had a visit from the Australian High Commission to go through his documents. Has anyone else had this?
I would welcome it if it means that it weeds out the dishonest people who are ruining it for the rest of us.

Nothing to worry about, random check, no indication that they suspect any wrongdoing.

He wasn't worried about it as all his docs are legitimate, but I was hoping they would do more of this to weed out the ones that have the bogus references etc.

most of the indian applicants have been getting this for the past year, at least... but they could also mean longer processing times, since the person/s doing such 'job verifications' would have to report the findings to DIAC
