Five months seem to be the standard from the above but hopefully it will be less than that now with the 'improvement' in manpower management.

Maybe our wait on the employer to submit is some sort of record - Its not doing my mental health any good at all especially when we got to within days of having no visa at all last month

I got a letter requesting for original police certs (provided certified copies in the original 857 application) and form 80...no CO can be assigned until all documents are in...I reckon this is the same letter Burbage recieved one or two weeks ago.

Sounds like it. I reckon it's a junior helping to make sure that when a case officer is assigned that all the paperwork is in and the visa can be turned around asap. I queried a number of points but have had no reply.

Yes I also think someone is checking files first - but why are they starting with the later lodged files rather than the previous ones !!! Errgggg !!...

Maybe because both ours are 857 and yours is 119...different processing procedures maybe.
