What’s the delay with “I got visa posts� for the rest of April’s applicants? I’m fed up with hubby nightly asking “any news?� as if he wouldn’t be the first person I’d contact! He also keeps ranting about “agent should pull their finger out; why doesn’t Dimia have a citizens charter/code of conduct or similar (as if I’d let him contact them in his frame of mind - I don’t want to be back of the list again!!). Anyway I’m fed up being the upbeat one and I’m sorry if you all want KARMA but blast off helps once in a while.

Anyway I decide to update the list completely I kept thinking “I’m sure that persons had their meds request etc� so I’ve spent time this morning doing some investigation work. I think it’s now as complete as possible. QoM hasn’t posted since April so hopefully it’s because she’s now sunning herself in Oz. As for Ozbod, I’m so sorry, I can’t begin to imagine how youre feeling. It sounds to me that they lost extra 5 pnts because the skill had been taken off the MODL list. Another unfair treatment of pre - Julyers.

Can you please send your Karmas or some soothing mantras in double doses, although I am feeling slightly better now its off my chest again. Ta.

I know how you feel. Karma sent. We all have ups and downs. My week has been good news so far (nothing on the visa front mind you), so I'm on an upper at the moment. Sure I'll be ranting on here again shortly, like I did last week.

There does seem a great lack of anything resembling a "got it" recently. They're just saving them up for one almighty "got it" I reckon. (mmm. Don't even beleave that one myself).

Still, I've been waiting since April 13th, so count yourself lucky I reckon. Just think how you'll feel when you've been waiting another 2 months!!!

can't believe how long you must have spent....excellent updating skills. it is crap waiting but it has got to be soon now as just about everyone has had requests by the look of things, i'm just waiting on tenterhooks now for results of xrays and blood tests which will be in next week! the last thing that could stop us (so i reckon) i've sent some karma i think??? if i've done it properly x loidy

Starting to really look at my life here, and you know what, it's not so bad. In fact i'd say we have a pretty good life. Great family and excellent friends, and of course the people that we all know who pre-judge everything you do, good or bad (as least it will give them something to talk about if we don't go).

Now your propably asking yourselves WHY did they apply to emigrate then? Good question.

Ozbod has wanted to move out of here for ages and really loves France. France is a lovely country, but i did'nt want to move there. So about 3 years ago we started thinking about making the BIG move and really going for it, lets face it if your going to have an adventure why not go all the way. Hence the reason for applying. We would not go out blind, so went on a reccie last year and really enjoyed it.

Anyway as we all can see know pre july peoply have been treated appallingly, we have for some time now felt as though our lives have been on hold for too long and really want to gain control again, and we kind of think if it was meant to be....... well you lot know that feeling i'm sure.

None of us knows whats round the corner, i have today found out that my mum is having heart trouble and i already feel too far away from her and she's only 3 hours away. Not sure how i would have coped if i'd been in Aus. And YES these are all things we had discussed in depth before commiting to all this, perhaps there are things you just can't sort out in your heart and head until you have to face them.

Sorry for going on but you lot know what its like to have these feelings, and i feel a little better for getting them out.

Sorry to hear the news about your Mother. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing too serious.

As for second thoughts, I know what you mean. I am thinking more and more about New Zealand. I also am appalled at the way they have treated us pre-Julyers, and it does make you wonder if you will encounter similar things once you are out there, although I doubt it.

I've had a lot to contend with recently. My wife has just gone on to happy pills thanks to post natal depression, and I think this had a lot to do with it.

As for other problems, you wouldn't believe the crap that has been going on here. We are hoping to exchange on the house within the next few days, so that has been keeping me busy and occupying my mind, but not half as much as my Friday 13th ordeal. All will be revealed tomorrow when it is finally over hopefully. Keep posted. I'll create a new thread and tell you which one it is. It's a real thriller I can assure you.

Anyway, I digress. I think there is another reason we haven't heard anything as well. I'll send you a PM.

I hope you decide what is right for you in the end. I wouldn't make any final decisions for the next week or so, what with the news of your Mother coming today.

I just heard from the region 3 manager today that they have had a huge backlog of incoming mail recently as they were clearing the backlog (pre-July med/PCC I assume) but they cleared that yesterday. Hopefully we should start to hear something again next week.

I've also just heard that my CO is going to write and request my investment bond next week, so I'm pretty darned happy at the moment, especially as I am expecting to exchange contracts on my house in the next couple of days as well plus I just got some other great news. What a fantastic week!!!

My god, i'm not suprised your wifes on the happy pills, having three young children, sellling the house and emigrating!!! Why do we do this to ourselves!!!! Hope there working for her and she's feeling a little better. The trouble is when your in the moment you can't ever see and end to it, but things move on so quickly, before you know it your not picking up toys and changing nappies, your getting them gel for their hair and aftershave because they've started shaving and also want to smell like a tarts window box when they meet their girlfriend/girlfriends (Oh and they also think it might disguise the smell of crafty fags and mum and dad won't suss it). Been there done that (well Ozbod did!!!)
