another question re insurance
What sort on travel insurance should we take for heading down there and until we get household/personal insurance policies when we get there.
I just want one to cover the journey and maybe first month there
can anyone advise please???

I eventually went with WWT (01892 833 338) who quoted £64 for 2 adults & 2 children during our one way trip with a stop over in Singapore. It covers the usual stuff like baggage, medical, cash etc and expires 48 hours after arriving in Oz.
You need a seperate policy for the stuff you are shipping and should arrange alternative personal insurance when you get to Oz.

Spot on Norm - standard travel insurances is only vaild if you actually return.

Try American Express (dont need the card) travel insurance. quoted £77 one way + 48 hours after for 2 adults and 4 kids.
