Alternative spelling of middle name in Passport and Birth Certificate
Hi there,
My wife is applying for her Australian Citizenship. Her first and last names are always the same, no changes. Only the middle name is sometimes written as 'Binte' or 'Binth' as an alternative spelling. The birth certificate uses the alternative spelling 'Binte' as a middle name, and her passport uses the spelling 'Binth' as a middle name. The only difference in the last letter of the middle name.
What supporting document would we need to provide as evidence of name change? Technically, there was no name change, It is just an alternative spelling of the same middle name.
Do we provide the Birth Certificate which has the middle name spelled as 'Binte' and the Passport having the middle name spelled as 'Binth' to prove the alternative spelling?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. It's all sorted out. I am going to request for spelling correction from the embassy.

Correcting the passport to match the birth certificate is the optimal move and it sounds like you already have it in hand.
