We submitted our spouse/defacto application and it arrived in london on MONDAY
This afternoon a message was left on our phone wanting to talk to my partner!
What do you think they want? Is this the telephone interview? Or have we submitted something incorrectly!! OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!

Someone has posted on here before that it was just a couple of questions relating to their application.
A friend of mine has been through all this a few years ago and when she went to collect hers (like you could do then over the counter) she was asked - what is your address, what is your sponsors full name and something else equally as easy to answer if your application (which I'm sure your's is!) is legit!

i got a phone call from my case officer before my spouse visa was granted, they just asked some very simple questions about where we intend to live and plans for the next few years etc.

My case officer rang about our Pros Spouse visa - asked me to confirm our names and my passport number, that was in the days when you could get an appointment. When I turned up for the appointment I handed over all the papers and the interview consisted of "how did you meet" "when do you intend to travel to Oz" and "when do you plan to marry" - I think it was mainly to see if I could talk freely about the rel'ship, thus making it seem more genuine I suppose.

I was on holiday in Prague when the mobile rang. I hung up as I thought it was work. When I got back to London I found a voice mail from the case officer. I rang the next day and found out I had the visa and he was wondering if I needed some extra time to enter Australia.

Jasper this is a good sign.
