A good agent will cost you around the £1500 mark.I wouldnt pay more than £2000 otherwise you're being ripped off (unless you're a special case)

GBP6000 is a lot of money. Check out the MARA website, I believe they list average costs on there.

Re: Agent or no agent??

Im using an agent in Australia (Cairns) which was chosen by sponsoring employer and its costing AU$3,000 (which the employer is paying - 119 RSMS visa). Converted to £ it works out around £1,500 so I guess thats the average going price.

Out of curiosity does anyone know if applications are processed quicker if they're submitted by an agent rather than an individual??

Or, if they are processed quicker if they are submitted by an agent already based in Oz -would they get preferential treatment for any odd reason???!!

Also, do case officers favour and process applications quicker if the job is for a large well known company as oposed to a smaller one man band who hasnt sponsored before??

Your application gets no faster service if it's sent by an agent, whether in Australia or not. Case officers don't favour any application over another, either. Each application is judged based on it's own merits only.
