Hi
AM trying to work out is it better to go with an agent or do all the paperwork myself.
Anyone give me the pros and cons?

We did it ourselves and had no problems. Just make sure you read everything. however, there is a thread that was started a few days ago on this very subject, some people said the money they spent on an agent was well worth every penny. http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...ghlight=agency

I guess it depends on your circumstances and the kind of people you are.

I think Denise is right. We did everything ourselves and got out PR first time but it really depends on how comfortable you are that you can tick all the boxes. Ours was straight forward, we both had in demand trades (aircraft engineers), my brother is an Australian citizen and we had loads of documentary evidence from our careers in the RAF. It probably took me about 20 hours to compile everything (including TRA) for the pair of us; I'd hate to think how much an agent would have charged for doing that work! I might have been more tempted to use an agent if I had any doubts about the chances of a successful application. Good luck with whatever route you choose.
