Hi,
The Garda Website has some Infomation on how to get PCC from Ireland
http://www.garda.ie/angarda/faq.html#C2

In reality the length of time can vary. The best thing is to go in and ask them how to go about it, and then when you have submitted it keep it up if it seems to be taking too long.

Good Luck :0)

Thanks a lot for the replies and links, Tortuga & Greenpeas!

Looked up the HK pcc website, we need to provide a letter from the Consulate/Immigration stating that they need the pcc from them for migration purpose.

We haven't submitted our application yet, agent asked us to get our pccs done. Wondering whether anyone has their HK pcc done sucessfully before requesting from their CO, or we just simply have to sit and wait till a pcc is requested from our CO?

Greenpeas, good luck with your visa , seeing you've been waiting for quite sometime.

Yeah I'm in a slow visa class 138 no Worries nearly there.
When I went for my PCC the Gardai also looked for documentation to show a Consulate/Immigration Request, before they would process one.
