Hi,

I am in Sydney on a 457 visa at present. I would now like to add my spouse (girlfriend) to my existing visa. Is that possible? I checked on the DIAC website but found no clues, was however told that this is possible, if my sponsoring employer sponsors her as well. I would have all the evidence to prove our relationship

As long as you can demonstrate that you and your girlfriend have been in a genuine and continuing relationship for at least six months immediately prior to the application then it's easy as...

You'll need to get your sponsor to write a statement extending their sponsorship to include your girlfriend (the sponsorship undertakings they committed to will then cover your girlfriend too). After that it's just passport biographical page and evidence of your relationship.

Oh, you'll also need the permission request id for your own 457 approval. You'll find that on the approval notification you received when your visa was granted.

DIAC fee = $190.

can you tell me which form I should use, and is it online or paper hard copy? my visa was given by email.
