As you do not have academic IT degree, you are not eligiable to assess your skills under Group A.

Who has some specific vendor certifications (as per ACS web site, MCSE is OK), may assess their skills under Group B, which require 6 years of working experience in IT.

Who do not have academic IT degree or vendor certification, may access their skills through RPL, which require 8 years + working experience.

So, you have no chances, now.

I think Group B is for those who don't have a degree but have a Diploma in IT, he does'nt have degree nor deploma so RPL is for him and 8 years full time experience is required.

You must have a look at ACS site, recently they have announced some updation in the requirements.

Hello Zinc,
If you have an MCSE and more than 6 years 'Professional Level' IT experience then you may be able to qualify via Group B.

Can you put some more light on my career path. I did my MCSE in NOV 2009 just because to make my self eligible for ACS.

Here is my career growth.

1st Job May 2004 -- Nov 2006 Windows/Desktop Support
2nd Job Dec 2006 -- Apr 2008 Solaris Admin
3rd Job Apr 2008 -- Dec 2009 Solaris/Storage Admin
4th Job Jan 2010 -- Continue Storage/Linux/Windows Admin.

What can i choose under nomination occupation, i am very confused .. can you tell me the job code under which i should apply?

Do i need to do RPL also ?
I have already mentioned my other certification above in the post.

Vishal

Hello There,
If the reference is for an old job then the date should not be an issue.

Hello Radhika,
From the information you supply it is not easy to say whether you will meet the ACS criteria. I suggest you make use of the free initial assessments that we agents offer.

Have you read the ACS website for what the criteria are? That might be your first step.
