Morning all,

I know the published timescale from the ACS is 10-12 weeks, but was wondering if anyone has had their assesment done quicker?

Jon,

For me it took 14 weeks, because first time I haven't sent the detailed reference letter from all my previous employer, so ACS requested for 'detailed reference letter', this is the reason why it got delayed.

I have seen people getting in 4 to 6 weeks in this forum.

My advise, send all the required documents to ACS in first go.

What did thy mean 'detailed' ?

I have had my employer give the 5/6 key tasks in my job, salary and length of service etc, do you think that will suffice?

I have send the following detailed reference letter printed in company letter head and signed by Head of Dept or Head of HR to ACS. It contains..

1. My Full Name
2. Type of job - full time or part time
3. served the company From To period
4. Project worked
5. Technology used

* Salary Slip (in any of the reference letter there is no where the salary is mentioned, so I included it separately)

I worked for 6 companies so far, on that 2 company got closed, so I got a personal reference letter from my ex-collegues with the above mentioned.

With the exception of the technology used my references include eveything you mention, my RPL and CV all mention languages/platforms etc - hopefully this will be enough (fingers crossed!!).

Yeah, I'm happy with ACS' processing. They even provide a web interface that allows you to track your application progress. DIMIA should adopt similar process.

This web interface - having just logged into mine - all it says is Status and Managed by - does it get any more detailed than this?
