Finally, we got the positive response from ACS. Yahoo for that.... It's now DIMIA's time. I know we're just half way of the whole process, but its just simply nice not to be rejected.
One important question from us.....
Can we submit to DIMIA our application minus the IELTS results yet? We applied for the test already and got a receipt. The test schedule is by end of March. I'm rushing because of age factor. My husband will be 35 by April.
Your response will be great! Many thanks.
Hannah

Hi Hannah
I was given good advice to collect everything (except medicals & police clearance) and send it off together. I don't know if it might speed a general skilled app but I have heard that it will speed things up for a state nomination skilled app.
Other people might suggest differently.

Hi Hannah,
You should certainly apply now and lodge the IELTS result when you have a
file number from ASPC. There's always the risk (perhaps remote in his case)
that the IELTS test is negative, and therefore I would do it separately from
the visa application, given that he may need to do it again.
cheers

That's an understatement if I ever read one!
Congrats (even if it's *only* for the ACS assessment)
Cheers

Congratulations!
How long did the ACS assessment take?
I will probably go the same route in a couple of months.
Best wishes,
Alen

Alen,
Thanks. It took exactly 8 weeks all in all, including their 2-week Christmas break. Best of luck to you...
