I have old ACS letter without skilled from date , which is expiring on 10th Feb 2015.

However, per ACS summary of criteria with ICT major qualification, I have marked my first 2 years of experience as not relevant.

Per DIBP website, your skills assessment should be valid at the time of invitation. Now, after reading above thread i'm confused if I should apply for new format skills assessment from ACS?

I feel it's safer to reapply for ACS letter
as the 189 processing period
is at least 3 months if everything goes good.
Due to Christmas holidays it may delay further.
By that time, ur ACS letter will expire, so it's highly
possible for CO to ask for new letter.

If you wait until he asks, processing might
get delayed.

I found on DIBP's website that skills assessment needs to be valid while you're invited to apply which means that if I get invitation before my assessment expires, I should be good.

I raised the query to ACS and they have no clue if DIBP will require new assessment for visa processing. However, they added that they have not received any communication from DIBP on advising old acs letter candidates to get new format letter.

Skills assessment is worth $500 now and I don't want to waste money for no reason. I will try to make CO understand or get a new one if he/she insists.

thanks for your help with this.
