Hello All...

I am new to this forum and want to clarify few things before i lodge my PR.

1. 1 I have completed my Diploma in the year 2002
2. 2 Started working in the year 2003- exact date and month Dec-2003 to Jul-2004 : 7Months as Junior Programmer
3. 3 Joined another company in the year Aug-2004 and worked there till Mar-2009
4. 4 Took a break and joined back work in Jan-2014 till date
5. 5 Applied for ACS and it is suitable for migration. However the work experience is counted after 2009.
6. 6 How many points should i claim in EOI for work experience?
7. 7 As per ACS my work experience from 2003 to 2008 has not been considered as SKILLED? How does this work?

Could some help me understand this better as this will have -ve impact on my PR results.

You can only claim points for your experience from <month> 2009 till now minus your break.

ACS criteria is quite clear - for a diploma qualification with ICT major you need 5 years experience in the last 10 years (or 6 years at any time); for diploma with ICT minor you need 6 years experience - http://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/...teria-2014.pdf

Since you applied in 2014, you need 5 years in last 10 minimum (2004 - 2009) or 6 Years anytime. Therefore you have been deemed skilled but have no points as only skilled experience counts as mentioned by ekhfaiz
