  1. 15th December was just before the Christmas break. Always expect delays over that period.
  2. Their own website FAQs indicate that the processing time is eight to twelve weeks. You've not even hit their minimum estimate yet.
How long does the assessment take?
Skills assessment completion time is approximately 8-12 weeks for decision ready applications that do not require additional documents or information.
  3. This is why the mantra "no two applications are the same" is repeated so often on here. No two applications are the same. It doesn't matter how long someone else's application takes, your applications are individual.
  4. Unless you hear from an official source (i.e. ACS in this case), then take what you hear with a pinch of salt. It's just rumours until you have official confirmation.

I have applied on 13th Dec for skills assesment with nominated occupation as Analyst Programmer. Right after that was Christmas time. So, we may receive result by end of February month per comments from people who have gone through assesment in recent past.
However, processing time also depends upon documents provided and complexity level of your application.

Good luck and

All that means is that someone has changed the status page.

It means just that. Someone has changed the status page to read in progress. That probably, but not definitely, means its in progress. I don't see what the issue is?

Guys,

I have got my ACS skill assessment today
I submitted my application on dec ,by the time my exp was 7 years and 10 months.

ACS have given me 7 years and 10 months in the assessment.
Now I have completed my 8 years. So in EOI will I be able use the remaining 2 months to claim 5 points?

Please advice.I'm confused.

It means that your application is progressed to "stage 4". This is usually the last stage where the final decision will be made on your application. No additional changes in your application are allowed at this time. Sit tight, your ordeal will be over soon.
