Default Accountants being removed from Skilled Occupation List?

Hello

Can someone confirm for me if the skilled occupation list changes throughout the year, or is it only in July each year?

I am planning on applying for a visa as a Management Accountant, but getting increasingly worried from what people are saying about Accountants being removed from the list. We hope to have our EOI submitted early in the new year.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

For last couple of years, it has tended to be once a year, but it can be changed at any time or occupations could be capped for example. Still I have heard the rumours about accountants for about three years now, but it is still there. Any reason it will take you until the new year to lodge your EOI? Accountants skills assessments can be done in two weeks very easily? I would recommend you do for general accountant not management accountant, some of these categories are very silly I think, but the general is more likely to stay than any other.
