yes i applied online and i checked online no update has been made. and i dont think the information updated by gsmb is true. they are processing slowly from jan1st

Nothing on my end too. And GSMB is not updating their email "update'.

Anyone out there that has applied for a 887 using a paper based application?
Only ask as we are in adelaide and was thinking of delivering it by hand.
Anyone know the processing time for paper based 887s ?

Apparently the paper based applications are processed quicker, or at least they assign CO faster... they are up to the 2nd of march now.

The email from the Brisbane center still says they are allocating CO up to the 15 Jan.
My friend applied onlne on the 31st of Jan and she already got allocated CO, they asked for police record and meds.

Why is meds requested? I understand 887 applicants are not required to provide medicals??

I applied 16 Jan but no news yet. I frontloaded AFP check though.

I was not asked for medicals before my 887 was granted, but other people who post on this forum were asked for medicals. However, they contacted their case officer and queried the request on the basis that full medicals were done before the grant of the 495 visa. The request for medicals was then withdrawn.

Hi again!
Yes, she applied online for 887 on the 31st of Jan. She got an email for the CO on the 24th asking for meds and police record. She sent back and email saying that she took the meds already for the 495, and now she is only waiting for her police record.
I guess she was lucky then to get it done so fast. I applied on the 22nd of March and of course I am still waiting.
