801 stat dec Question

Hi there,
We need to gather information for the submittance of docs in relation to our 801 visa application.
We gathered all the necessary docs for the 820 and now have to get stat decs signed by two independant people verifying our relationship for the 801

A neighbour and friend has written one but i'm not sure who signs it.
Is it my neighbour or myself and does it have to be in front of a JP?

I just found my Form 888's and they have to be signed by your neighbour/friend and witnessed by a JP.

Thank you, so does my friend or neighbour have to get them witnessed as they sign them?

Yes. They’ll need to take identification along with them too.
