47SK Question - Passport details
Hi,
With regards to Q11, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I'm supposed to enter as 'Place of Issue' for my passport.
The country of issue is also asked for which is obviously UK but it's not apparent to me what the 'place of issue' is.
Many Thanks in advance

e.g. if I had a UK passport (country of issue:UK) issued by the British High Commission in New Zealand, the Place of Issue would be New Zealand.
If you have a UK passport issued in the UK, then the Place of Issue is "UK".

British passports issued in the UK generally say, in the Authority
section, just 'UKPA' with no reference to the specific office.

This is not intended to be legal advice in any jurisdiction

No place of issue refers to the place it was issues. If you passport was issued in UK, then the pace of issue is either Belfast, Durham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Newport or Peterborough depending on where you live. So in short:
Country of Issue = UK
Place of Issue = Peterborough
Country of Issue = UK
Place of Issue = Peterborough

How about if you don't know which office issued it? Mine is 6 years old and I got it by post! Haven't a clue where it came from. is it OK just to put UK?

guys,
Please refer to the UKPS webpage. It clearly states what it the place of issue. For example, I live in Coventry and regardless of which post office I apply from, application from the west midlands are ONLY processed and issued by the Peterborough office. So again, in my case it could be:
Country of Issue = UK
Place of Issue = Peterborough
so look at the UKPS webpage and see which office deals with your area's passport.
