tnx for a quick reply. that bugger chinese agent made my life hell. he said pregrant is the final letter. basing on his advice i quit my sydney university job, left rented unit in sydney, withdrawn from UTS course. now really anxious about this final grant letter! although he has informed the case officer on 12 march about my travel plan but do we need to inform this again? can i contact the CO directly? i really do not want to involve this agent any more.

What's the difference between pre-grant letter and final grant letter?
Specially when DIAC issues the pre-grant letter?

Just an update from me: no news yet, just waiting waiting waiting... quite frustrating, it's like our lives are on-hold.

Applied: June 26 2008
CO Allocated: January 27 2009
Additional docs submitted: February 23 2009

...no word yet. Will let all of you know when we receive word!

Hi all!

I got my visa. My status says that I was approved on 04/07/2009.

I have to be in Adelaide before October 20th. So many things to do!

Does anyone here is going there too? I would like to exchange emails, because I don't know anyone there!

Just a short update to yesterday's post:

Our case officer went on extended leave and our case has been transferred to a new case officer (hence the delay).

The passport & the Visa grant letter. No other document is needed in our country to get the visa label.

In Bangladesh every Thursday the Aus Highcomission normally provide the visa label. And it takes few hours to get the passport back with the visa label.

In some visa categories one need to be offshore for the visa to be granted if they are already in Australia.

So the CO issues a pre grant letter and ask the applicant to be offshore. This is the information I have regarding Pre Grant.

Really frustating.

I think you are not authorized to contact the CO since you have an agent.

Ask your agent to contact the CO to update your status. You can e-mail me, just add @yahoo.com with my id.
