We lodged our 457 on 27th Jan. No news our end. Meds were finalised for our 176 application on 16th Dec so we are able to use these. Problems with just getting "eligibility" for nursing registration and not registration certificate, causing probs with Queensland state sponsorship hence going out on 457 initially. Once registration sorted when we get there not far off getting our 176 visa. But just like everyone else obsession has kicked in checking my emails.

Thank you for your enquiry. There has been an increase in lodgments we are working to progressively meet DIAC service standards.
If your application has been impacted by the Qld Floods a procedure has
been developed in consultation with Queensland Department of Employment,
Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI).
From Thursday 3 Feb 2011 sponsors intending to employ 457 workers in
flood-affected areas of Queensland and want access to priority processing
must fill out a template letter on the DIAC website at
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/flood-reconstruction.htm

My 457, lodge 23rd Dec, has finally been approved. I hope to be in Sydney next week! No point hanging around :-)

Some people over on Poms in Oz, submitted their applications 11, 13 & 14th January and got their visa within 3 weeks, so : so any day now, hopefully next week might be a good week for us all and its my birthday. Great pressie..
