Why the medical for your son if you dont mind me asking?
I got my 457 in Feb and have just submitted to get another to include the family (kids 1,5 and 8). Only as my job wanted me out straight away and the kids are finishing the school year off.

i don't know... That's the requirement that came out as soon as the application was submitted. I supposed it's because he's going to attend school there.
Anyway, it's a very basic medical and actually costs less than the x-ray.
They only did height, weight, BMI, and visual acuity.
My son was not cooperative with the nurse (he didn't want to read the letter during the eye test), so we had to see the doctor to assess him. The doctor did a very basic test as well - eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, ears, chest (heart beat), tap the tummy, and check the groin. She asked him to do simple things like climb the bed on his own, count 1-5, and asked simple questions like your name, age, mommy's name. And that was it.

DIAC don't always request meds on children for a 457. If they do you would need to go to one of the current panel doctors.

Thanks for this discussion....
cost of moving fees and charges keep appearing out of nowhere - phone, management company for apartment, ground rent, mobile phone, and I haven't finished doing it yet.
How are you de-stressing? I'm jumping up and down every now and again!

@Tramps_mate, we are in Singapore. We did the medicals at SATA which had the earliest available schedule.
@Anuptik, we've done this before (Philippines to Singapore), so I guess that lessens the stress for us. Also helps that company is providing reloc allowance.
