457 police checks

457 police checks
We have applied for our 457 visa, and sent medicals, we have not been asked for our police checks...I have had these done, are they always required?

The 457 doesn't usually require police checks. If you or a member of your family have declared any offences the CO may then request it but it is not always required like the GSM applications.

Hi My husband has one conviction for recieving stolen goods 24 years ago (he didnt know they were stolen till his cousin who gave them to him was arrested)
Anway the immigration have asked for his police check... will he get a visa?? Hope so we have flights booked 7th Jan !!! aghhh cant wait till this whole process is over feel like Im wearing flips flops walking up a slippy mountain

I'm on my second 457 and I've never been asked for the police check. I only had one done to apply for permanent residency
