457, medicals and blood tests..

Hi Guys,

My friend is coming out to Australia on a 457 visa which has just been approved for its nomination...now she is concerned as she does not know when to do the medicals and who needs to do them. When we came out 6yrs ago on RSMS we all had to have medicals but as my children were under 10 they didn't have to have bloods. My mate has no idea about who needs to have bloods either and the medical centre said they cannot give that advice...she is a little confused and I have no idea about the 457..but I knew someone out here would;)

Look forward to hearing from you

Trish:)

We are coming out on a 457 visa, and have not had to have blood tests or medicals - visa granted a couple of weeks back. Think the only ones who do are those who are working in hospitals full time or the like from what i understand.

My friend is a nurse like me....so she will most definitely ( I would think) have to have medicals.

Thanks for your reply:)
