410 Retirement Visa Medical
I am applying for a 410 retirement visa in the UK.
The Australian High Commission in London has asked me to obtain a:
medical,
chest x-ray
and an HIV test.
I am certain that when I was last in Australia the DIMIA helpline told me that the HIV test was only for permanent visa applicants, not temporary visa applicants.
Has anyone with a 410 visa obtained it without an HIV test?

Hi Marc,
You do need an HIV for a 410. i thought it was not needed either but my agent confirmed.

You are too young for a 410 retirement visa - was your agent referring to your 138 visa application perhaps?

For anyone who is interested, DIMIA have confirmed to me that an HIV test is not required for renewal of a 410 visa but is required for initial issue.
