40SP for spousal visa application?
If I have funds to show that I can support my wife for the first two
years upon arrival in Australia will the DIMA be concerned about my
employment history given that I work contracts and wasn't working last
year? In addition to choosing to spend half of last year with my wife
in her country. I am currently working in the USA in order to maximize
my income however I would like to start my wifes application shortly
despite us currently being in different countries.

Line up a family member or very close friend for an assurance of support, so
you have it up you sleeve before you submit the application
