189 visa with partner
 
so just done the skill assessment and assuming iv passed. l will do an english test soon to get some more points.

my question is my future wife is coming with me on my visa. weve got proof etc etc of us living together. Does she need to do a n english test aswel? as she is polish?

i cant seem to find anything on it so any help would be great :)

at what point do i do a medical and police check is it after im invited to apply for a visa??

Yes, your partner will need to prove Functional English - https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189- (click on 'Follow these steps'; scroll down to 'Gather your documents ' Documents for dependents 18 or older'; in the pop up you'll see the requirement and a link to https://www.border.gov.au/about/corp...tional-english)

You will both be asked by the case officer to get police and medicals towards the end of processing.

ah excellent thank you were both booked in for an IELTS test on the 9th november. i am hearing some horror stories about this test so i hope its not as hard as im being told lol

Also an important one im 32 will do an eoi as some as my skills assessment results are back i will loose 5 points when im 33 if i start the visa before im 33 do i still keep the extra 5 points?

I had to look to see your occupation. By 'some of my skills assessment results' I assume you mean you've passed the paper part and will progress to the practical.

You cannot lodge an EOI until you have a valid skills assessment, which you don't have. Points are awarded for age, and skill select adjust them as you get older, so it will be time of invite where you age counts.

iv done the practical part and will receive results in the next week. i very much doubt it failed so was interested to know if i apply for my visa and at time of applying im 32 but turn 33 while its being prossessed do i loose 5 points or not?

As said already, it's age at time of invite but as you will not turn 33 until next May I doubt it will be an issue providing you get through IELTS okay

EDIT - on the IELTS front, make sure you practice so you don't lose marks for silly mistakes (lose / loose eg)
