189 visa - Academic record, couple of questions
Hi,
Have started pulling together the evidence i would need to complete a 189 visa application and was hoping for a couple of clarifications:
1. It asks for a "certified copy of your qualifications" - I've looked at my old University website and they offer a "Certified True Copy" for £30 or an "Authenticated photocopy of certificates" for £3. I want to get at least 2 copies, so in order to save £54 do the authenticated copies suffice for my visa application?
2. The online guidance says that "The authority that conducts your skills assessment will determine whether any qualifications earned outside Australia are of a standard that is comparable to the relevant Australian qualification." Which authority is this? Is this basically referring to the professional body that validates my occupational skill? Are they the arbiter of both my occupational skill AND my academic background?
Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance!
