186 ENS changes and dates
The changes to the 457 and 186 visas have dealt my plans for a permanent return to Australia a significant blow.
My occupation is now only on the combined list of eligible occupations and therefore I am only eligible for the 2 year TSS visa and understand that from March 2018 will no longer be able to apply for a 186 on the direct entry route either.
Hypothetically speaking, if I was to secure an offer from an employer willing to sponsor me for direct entry on a 186, would I need to have submitted the nomination and application by 28 Feb 2018 or would the visa need to have been issued by that date?
