121/856 Visa

Hello,

I am going to be 45 on Feb 7. I have got the state sponsorship from SA and heading to lodge application for 475 visa.

Luckily, there is one Australian company offer me a job and willing to sponsor me for a PR visa.

My migration agent suggested me to apply for 457 temporary visa and then apply for PR after I worked with company for a while so that I could come to Oz to work earlier.

I am not confident with the 457 visa since it can't secure my family stay in Oz permanently.

Hence, I will go for applying 121/856 PR Visa directly. But my migration agent ask me whether my level of confidence on the company who backing me the PR visa and said that it may secure to go for 475 visa also before turn to 45.

I am very confused at this moment whether I am going to spend the extra money to apply 475 visa at the same item just for insurance or not.

The next decision is to choose the pathway from 457 to 856 or apply for 121 directly.

Do the age exemption for 121 visa easily be granted?

The company has sponsored one of its staff for 856 visa several months ago.

Does anyone know how long the 121/856 PR visa will be granted at this moment after the Australian government change its migration policy started this year?

Many thanks.

Regards,
Alex.

I was told by DIAC (back in october) that the 121 and 119were much easier to get than 175. less paper work and processed faster. no idea if true and depends on how reliable ur sponsor is.

You can take a look at booklets 5 and 6 and compare the requirements.
