Hi all,

I have 110 points and the accessment 2231-11 (IT Systems Administrator).
I have send application forn for SIR to SA but have received a refusal.
Where could I have chance to get SIR visa with this speciality.

Have they given you a reason why you not have been accepted?

Are you sure you applied for SIR rather than STNI? As far as I was aware SA were not operating an occupation criteria for SIR, but your may not have convinced them you can settle in the state. Either ask SA directly for a reason, or get a professional to look at your case.

" Special Note: Sponsorships for IT occupations not included in the "Occupations for State Nominations" list will be considered under the SIR criteria but will be required to provide a job offer from a South Australian employer before Sponsorship is considered."

Unfortunatly I have not job offer ((

Well it does say it now on their web site. Also it includes now that you have to work in a skilled profession. I am not sure at the moment about this visa since at any one time they can change the goalposts.

SIR is risky precisely for this reason.
Anyone who *can* find a job offer in South Australia should go straight for the RSMS visa and forget about SIR.

Maybe I am a bit thick here but everyone we have contacted isn't interested giving us a job until we get there.

I can't imagine anyone getting a job offer in IT unless you can prove you can work there - so a bit chicken and egg

It seems that applying permanent residency will be so difficult now.
I made up my mind trying SIR visa and got sponsorship from SA already.
But now I have to re-think about this as it would be impossible to
get job with my occupation "on paper".

sigh...... how can things be so hard....?
well, maybe better happened now than after got there.....

The reality is that most Australian employers will only sponsor someone from overseas when they literally cannot find anyone locally.

All I'm saying - in reference to regulations that require you to have a job offer before going for a SIR visa sponsorship - is that if you *can* find that job, then go for RSMS directly and forget SIR.
